My Wife Loves Sherman Dodge Chrysler Jeep ‎‎

My wife just purchased a 2010 Dodge Journey SXT from Sherman Dodge Skokie IL and we received excellent service from Sherman Dodge Chrysler Jeep. We were coming from Rockford and were planning to visit various dealerships in the Chicago area and choose between either a Chevy, Toyota or a Dodge. We met with Marianne in the Internet Department and she helped us so much in the pre-sale discussions by phone assuring us that once we came to Sherman Dodge, we would not have to go anywhere else. And we did not have to – all the staff, especially the Internet Department team patiently showed us all the cars we wanted to see, which included the Dodge Journey and Dodge Avenger. They even offered to bring in a Chevy or Toyota from the other dealers, since we were considering a Chevy and Toyota also. Throughout the entire sales and financing process, everything was clearly explained to us without any pressure. However what impressed us the most was the service at the end of the sale – We took delivery of the vehicle about 30 minutes before the dealership closed. We wanted someone to take the car to our hotel which was 30 minutes away, and they all willingly agreed to do it even though it meant that would get home very late. Before we left they even took the car back to the detailer since we had wanted a sticker to be removed. By the time everything was done, it was well past 9pm – and the sales people were still at the dealership – unlike other dealers we went to where the sales people are in such a hurry to close at the scheduled time and get home. Finally not once did any of them complain about the extra time and effort he had to spend in dropping us at our hotel – and on the way back they talked us through the numerous features the car had made us feel so good about our purchase. Updated – 12/16/2009 I had taken my car in for its 30K service a week before, and a co worker advised me a week later that my left brake like was burned out. Looking at it, couldn’t quite figure out how to replace it, so I made an appointment for a quick light bulb change in the morning. Drove in about 6:45, before the shop is officially open, the service advisor took care of the bulb while I waited, only paid $3 for the bulb, and was on my way to work before 7:00 AM. This place is going up in my estimation. Whatever problems they may have had in the past seem to be overcome from my viewpoint.

Went in here for an oil change before work, hoping to get in and out within a half hour or so. The service advisor came up with a whole shopping list of scheduled maintenance that should be done. At first I was a little irritated because I was going to be late for work, but when I thought about it, I was pretty glad that they did go over the car and found some little things that required correction before they became a problem. The found, for example, the front end was a little out of line, and there was a nail in the right front tire. All was corrected, and while I went out of their spending more than I anticipated, they thought of service items that I would not have thought of checking. The extra time and money was well worth the knowledge that they really went over the car with a fine tooth comb, and the inspection was more than just a cursory look at things.

Started bringing my car here, which I purchased at Norwood Park Dodge, after Norwood Park discontinued being a Dodge dealer. I have had the car in for service twice, and was quite pleased with the service. Admittedly, I have a new car and right now I am just dealing with routine maintenance, but both times the service has been completed much more quickly than I had anticipated. Service was complete, and the prices were reasonable. The location may prove to be a problem if I have to leave the car as there is no public transportation available.
